DoodleBob attempted to erase SpongeBob with the pencil, but SpongeBob ultimately discovered that if DoodleBob comes in contact with paper, it seals him into the paper, so SpongeBob sealed DoodleBob into a book.
However, DoodleBob went hostile and SpongeBob erased him, but one of his arms remained and in the night he stole the pencil and redrew himself. When SpongeBob and Patrick realized this, SpongeBob drew DoodleBob, intending to fool Squidward. Whatever is drawn with the pencil comes to life.
